History of the 1895 golf club in İstanbul

İstanbul Golf Club is the ninth oldest golf club in continental Europe. It was established in 1895 as the Constantinople Golf Club in the Okmeydanı district of İstanbul, and comprised 12 holes. In 1911 the name was changed to Bosphorous Golf Club when the club moved to a new location in Bebek with a 9-hole layout.
